Orkibal will share his knowledge based on his years of experience doing street art and character design. Participants will have the chance to learn basic character design process, painting and coloring technique and how to come out with creative characters.

a complete packing. this is one of the two successful casting. while the rest are ended up with broken parts.
actually this pack is the resin casting, resin is the best casting comparing with plaster for the size is kinda too small and the cast may easily broken when removing from mold, especially plaster casting. but resin causes slight damage to the latex mold. (latex what i have for mold right now).
anyway this tiny 3.5" Lee Ah Seng took me the whole month to complete. and it is now a collection of the director Liew Seng Tat.

Survival Guide Untuk Kampong Radioaktif
is an awareness project to educate public regarding the recent radioactive issue caused by Lynas rare earth processing in Gebang, Pahang. i am not much of a writer so you may get more info from their facebook page.

i found this project quite interesting and have decided to show support by producing a series of miniature sculptures based on characters from their released videos, despite i have not done any figure sculpting for years. it would be an interesting approach to help promote the video series as well. from time to time i will try my best to document my process and share it on this blog. in the mean time, do follow the video updates of Survival Guide Untuk Kampong Radioaktif.

These installations are to question the audience and remind them of the issue that has once in their lifetime provoked their anger, fear, and dissatisfaction.

Sign boards as the main medium is the best impact to relate these issues to the weakness of the authority in solving the problems.

The concept is to force the audience to think who responsible is it to solve these problem. Does putting up these awareness signs help improving the situation? What is the purpose of these and other sign boards out there?

weekday bombing with THEY and along with a Spanish artist (sorry i cant recall his name). he has this simple yet awesome technique on creating texture effect for portrait painting, by the use on only limited aerosol paint and oil based industry paint with a roller.

Champ Teh a.k.a Jeng, suspect to be suffering from depression committed suicide on 15 Dec 2010 at his home town in Alor Setar, Kedah. he was well known for painting of cigarette boxes and portrait of late Yasmin Ahmad.

a very last minute decision to goto Phnom Penh right after Bangkok.

TheY and i along with Peap serves charity workshop with the children at Mith Samlanh (Friends International). Did a live collaboration piece at the center on Fun Fair and live painting at Rise Up Festival with KlapYaHandz, we paint from noon till night. our one week stay at Phnom Penh was.. surprising. everything was out of expectation, very culture shock. great thanks to Peap's cousin for offer a place to stay. shout out to Amirtha and Andrew for the warm hospitality. we enjoy the happy herbs pizza very much! cheers!

Popil show us to the local bomb spot at Moganshan road, the wall is miles long and its filled with works by artist around the world. this place is heaven.
